What is Just-in-Time? An explanation of the three principles, benefits, and effects.

JIT, or Just-In-Time, is one of the production methods in manufacturing. This production method was introduced by Kiichiro Toyoda of Toyota Motor Corporation and is based on the concept of supplying what is needed, when it is needed, and in the necessary amount. As a result, it has become a management method for production processes that prevents waste, and it is now recognized not only in Japan but also around the world as a groundbreaking idea. By meticulously managing products and time, and using a method called "pull production," parts required at a certain stage are delivered from the previous stage in the appropriate quantity at the right timing, which helps reduce inventory and aims to minimize production costs. *For more detailed information, please refer to the related links.
